Senator Lager Announces Candidacy for Lt. Governor

Dear Friends,

After much thought and reflection, I am pleased to announce my candidacy for the office of Lieutenant Governor of the great state of Missouri. I humbly ask for your support as I begin my journey to bring conservative, Missouri values to this important office.

In my ten years in public office I have served my constituents by standing up for their values in Jefferson City. I fought for balanced budgets and responsible spending when it was crucial for our state to get its fiscal house in order. While Washington politicians attempted historic expansions in the size and scope of government, I fought to create a smaller and more efficient state government. When out-of-control entitlement spending and corporate handouts threatened funding for crucial services to the most vulnerable of our citizens, I fought for our seniors and children. And when liberal legislators try to promote their left wing agenda through misguided initiatives, I will always fight for our core conservative principles of personal responsibility.

Hard-working Missourians deserve strong, conservative elected officials. We need common sense leaders in Jefferson City who will promote Missouri values for Missouri citizens. As I travel the state throughout the next twelve months, I look forward to meeting you and sharing my vision for our state. I would be honored to have your support.
